This is your one-stop shop for commentary about the state of modern-day radio from Josh C. The Radio Blog covers everything from what individual stations are doing wrong and how they should fix it to how Clear Channel Radio and post-consolidation corporate radio sucks and why. Josh also takes a look at opinions of others and debates them into submission, forcing them to agree with him. He's always right anyway.

Ah, comment spam!

As you can see from the post "Note to Cheap Channel: Quick Fixes for Y-100"  below, someone deemed it necessary to post comment spam on my blog... apparently doing so manually or having found a way for a bot to read the text in the word verification images.  I've said this once before, and I'll say it again:

MY BLOG IS NOT A PLACE FOR YOU TO ADVERTISE YOUR CRAP!

If I want to mention someone's product(s), I'll do it.  If someone wants me to mention their blog, I'll read through it and decide whether or not I want to do so.  For example, I fully support Michigan Radio News + Views.  It's a great blog, and I find that the author and I have very similar tastes in music, and often times we agree on various issues in Southern Michigan radio.

I do not, however, support those who have spamed my comment system, and they do not support me.  They are leaches, using what popularity this blog has managed to gain in order to promote themselves for free.  They have not paid me for the use of my Internet real estate, and I won't tolerate their squatting.

Therefore, from now on, I will moderate the comments posted to this blog.  All comments having to deal with topics that I post on will be allowed through, no matter if I agree or disagree with them.  However, comments posted that are not on topic will be removed as soon as I can remove them.
